Yes, that sucks when you come across undead. Yes, the Neg energy spells are your nuke spells. Prismatics can be awesome against unnamed iron golems too, if you get lucky.ĭisclaimer: Not a caster most of the time.Ĭaster PMs are generally doing a few things but primarily it is DPS. Or Halt Undead, followed by Undead to Death, Sunburst and the prismatics. Then follow up with the fully meta'd versions. The initial damage hit is as low as possible. The technique I use here is to have a certain of necro blast and necro bolt on the hot bar that is only meta'd with quicken and enlarge. I think it's because they typically have bad fort saves. Get over that initial hump of healing and then I find your necro dps works really well on the undead. The PM enhancement that lets you - eventually - damage undead is one way to go. Undead monsters are another threat to your dps.

Supplement with Black Dragon Bolt and Arcane Pulse.ĭisintegrate improves quite a bit vs those iron golems if you get the DC to (I think) mid 90s.Ĭyclonic doesn't do as much damage as the others, but it's cheaper and it blows away their poison gas cloud. The spells to rotate through for them are Cyclonic Blast, Disintegrate, Acid Well, Thunderstroke, Energy Burst, Polar Ray and Meteor Swarm. What I found for EE/R1 item farming solo in Reach For the Sky, the strategy is to keep auras up and rotate thru the spells that do the most damage. You can't IK them and your main dps, negative damage, doesn't affect them. They'll never kill you as long as you keep your auras running, but the damage you do against them can also be pretty bad. The Orange/red iron golems are the real problems here.
